NHSRCL under its CSR initiative organized free eye check-up camps including cataract surgeries in Thane and Palghar district villages of Maharashtra state, spanning over two financial years i.e. 2021-22 and 2022-23 in collaboration with Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust.
Around 22 villages of Thane district and 71 villages of Palghar district were targeted under the initiative.
More than 1300 elderly patients from Thane and Palghar district have been successfully operated. The benefits include various support apart from free eye camp and cataract surgery like travel to hospital, food and accommodation, medicines, surgery and follow up check-ups in next 30 days (post operation).
